Ridgefield, CT - The USA’s “Iron Woman,” Kristine Lilly became the first player in history, man or woman, to play in 200 soccer internationals when she played against Canada in the Nike U.S. Women’s Cup in 2000. The second all-time leading scorer and the all-time leader in minutes played, Kristine has played in 85% of games the U.S. women have played. This woman knows soccer, and more than that, she understands how she reached the epitome of her sport and wants to share that knowledge. Kristine Lilly will be at The Ridgefield Playhouse for Movies and the Performing Arts on Thursday, April 3 at 7:30 p.m. Part of the Danbury Hospital Living Well Series, her program is underwritten by the Soccer Club of Ridgefield and Ron Paltauf of Northeast Builders. Star 99.9 is the media sponsor.

Kristine Lilly is a role model for those who aspire to playing soccer as a champion does as well as those whose aspirations might be a bit lower, but who nevertheless want to have a balanced life, with physical fitness being a priority. With her first success on the soccer fields of Wilton High School, Kristine has scored just about every accolade available to a athlete—from winning the state title to being named to the Soccer America’s College Team of the Decade (1990s) to receiving the U.S. Soccer Female Athlete of the Year three times.

For tickets ($20 adult; special price for students) and further information about the Danbury Hospital Living Well Series, call the box office at 203-438-5795; adult tickets may also be purchased online at www.ridgefieldplayhouse.org. The Playhouse is located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street.
